CERTIFIED NURSE'S AIDE - CNA
|
 |
CNA's provide basic patient care under direct supervision of a registered nurse responsible
for patient care. CNA's are employed by extended care facilities,
hospitals, or by individuals who want extra help with a loved one in their own home.
Certified Nurse's Aide requirements vary from state to state.
DUTIES
- Take vital signs
- Provide direct patient care such as assisting with bathing, eating,
dressing, and walking patients.
- Turn and reposition patient
- Change bed linens
- Record amount intake and output
- Interact with the patient
- Keep a record of care given
- Monitor patients and report any varience to the nurse for further assessment
- Follow infectious disease precautions.

HOME HEALTH AIDE - HHA

Home Health Aides are available to individuals in need of assistance with personal
hygiene and more. Home Health Aides respect the diginity of the patient while helping to maintain independence in the home setting.
DUTIES
- Bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming assistance
- Preparation of meals and meal planning
- Ambulation Assistance - transferring and help with simple excersies.

HOMEMAKERS AND COMPANIONS
|

Companions provide support and supervision, that enables a client to remain independent, while receiving necessary assistance. They also, help maintain the home and ensure a safe and clean environment.

- Companionship
- Ambulation Assistance
- Medication Reminders
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Meal planning and preparation
- Grocery shopping anf errands
- Transportation to doctors appointments and errands
